About the UGREEN UG307 (95348)

The UGREEN UG307 (95348) is an external HDMI video capture card designed for recording, streaming and displaying video from compatible HDMI source devices through a computer. It features an HDMI input for connecting supported cameras, gaming consoles and other video sources, together with USB-A and USB-C connectivity for compatible host devices. According to UGREEN's official specifications, the UG307 supports capture up to 4K at 60Hz in MJPEG format, as well as 4K at 30Hz in MJPEG or NV12. Additional supported modes include 2K at 60Hz in MJPEG or NV12 and Full HD at 240Hz in MJPEG, making the device useful for different recording requirements. At 1080p at 60Hz, supported formats include MJPEG, NV12, YUY2 and RGB24, although RGB24 capture is not supported in OBS on macOS. The capture card uses a compact aluminum alloy housing to provide physical protection and assist with heat dissipation. Its USB-powered, plug-and-play operation reduces the need for separate power adapters or dedicated drivers on supported systems. It can be used with compatible capture software such as OBS Studio for gaming broadcasts, camera recording, teaching demonstrations and online content creation. Nintendo Switch, Xbox and supported PlayStation consoles can serve as HDMI sources, but protected HDMI content cannot be captured; HDCP must be disabled where supported and permitted. The UG307 is a video capture device rather than an HDMI-to-USB display adapter or HDMI splitter. For streamers, educators, creators and office users in Bangladesh, it provides a compact solution for bringing compatible HDMI video into a computer-based recording or streaming workflow.

Design & Performance

4K Ultra HD Capture at 60Hz

The UGREEN UG307 supports HDMI video capture up to 3840 × 2160 at 60Hz in MJPEG format. This allows compatible cameras and video sources to provide detailed UHD footage for recording or streaming. The available output mode depends on the source device and capture application.

At 4K at 30Hz, the card supports MJPEG and NV12 formats. The highest supported resolution does not mean that every application can use every capture format. Select a supported format and frame rate in your recording software for the intended workflow.

High-Refresh 1080p at 240Hz

The UG307 supports Full HD capture up to 240Hz using MJPEG. This mode can be useful for recording high-refresh video from compatible gaming and computer sources. It provides an alternative to higher-resolution capture when frame rate is more important.

The video source, USB connection and capture application must support the selected mode. Recording at 240Hz does not guarantee a 240fps live-stream output on every platform. Check the capabilities of your software and streaming service before selecting high-refresh capture.

USB-A and USB-C Host Connectivity

The capture card offers USB-A and USB-C host connection options. This makes it convenient to use with compatible laptops, desktop computers and other supported USB host devices. The HDMI source connects to the capture card's input, while the USB connection sends captured video to the host.

The USB connectors are used for video capture data, not for directly driving an external HDMI monitor. The connected device must support compatible USB video capture functionality. Host software and operating-system support determine the available recording features.

MJPEG, NV12, YUY2 and RGB24 Formats

The UG307 supports multiple video capture formats for different resolutions and frame rates. MJPEG is available for 4K@60Hz and 1080p@240Hz capture, while NV12 is supported in several lower-frame-rate and resolution combinations. YUY2 and RGB24 are also available in selected modes.

RGB24 supports 1080p@60Hz capture under compatible conditions, but UGREEN specifically notes that RGB24 is not supported by OBS on macOS. Format availability varies by resolution and software. Check the supported capture mode before configuring a recording project.

Gaming Console Video Capture

The UG307 can capture compatible HDMI video from Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PlayStation gaming consoles. This makes it useful for gameplay recording, tutorials and streaming. Users can bring console footage into supported computer recording software.

For supported PlayStation systems, HDCP must be disabled before unprotected gameplay capture. DRM-protected content cannot be recorded through the device. Console output settings may also need adjustment to match the capture card's supported video modes.

Camera Capture and Online Teaching

The HDMI input can be used with compatible cameras and camcorders that provide a suitable video output. This allows users to bring camera footage into a computer for presentations, instructional videos and online content. It is also useful for certain meeting and training setups.

Camera compatibility depends on the HDMI output format and the host capture software. For clean video, configure the camera to remove on-screen overlays where supported. Audio capture and application behavior depend on the connected source and software settings.

Aluminum Alloy Housing and Portable Design

The UG307 features an aluminum alloy housing that provides a compact external structure. The metal body helps dissipate heat during normal capture operation. Its portable design makes it convenient for users who work across different locations.

Keep the device in a well-ventilated position during extended recording sessions. The housing may become warm while operating. Avoid excessive cable strain around the HDMI input and USB host connection.

Plug-and-Play Recording Setup

The capture card is designed for driver-free operation with supported USB video capture software and operating systems. Connect a compatible HDMI source, attach the USB host connection and select the capture device in your application. This provides a straightforward way to begin recording or streaming.

Software configuration may still be necessary to select the correct resolution, frame rate and video format. OBS Studio and other compatible capture applications can be used according to their device support. For best results, verify audio input selection and test the video signal before a live session.

Who It's For

The UGREEN UG307 (95348) is suitable for gaming streamers, video creators, educators, presenters, online trainers and users who need to capture an HDMI video signal on a compatible computer. It is useful for recording gameplay from supported consoles, connecting a compatible camera to recording software and creating instructional videos. The combination of 4K@60Hz MJPEG capture, 1080p@240Hz high-refresh capture and USB-A/USB-C host connectivity provides flexibility for different projects. Buyers should confirm the required resolution, frame rate, software format and HDCP restrictions before choosing this capture card.

Simple Buying Guide

Before buying the UGREEN UG307 (95348), confirm that your video source has a compatible HDMI output and that your computer supports USB video capture devices. Review whether you need 4K@60Hz MJPEG recording, Full HD high-refresh capture or another supported format. If you plan to use OBS on macOS, remember that RGB24 capture is not supported in that application. For PlayStation gameplay capture, verify that HDCP can be disabled for the intended unprotected content. Also ensure that you have a suitable HDMI cable and compatible recording software.
